Nardstar* was approached by Open Society Foundation for South Africa’s (OSF-SA’s) to paint a a 22m Silo in Phillipi to raise awareness on Covid 19. The mural draws on cues from the community regarding their lessons learnt from the pandemic which was unanimously found to be a feeling of Ubuntu, togetherness and helping one another. A collection of portraits of members of the community were put together  to remind the community that working together, they can overcome this. This is largest definitely the largest mural painted by Nardstar and said to be the largest mural in South Africa.
