I was invited by the Incarceration Nations Network

I was invited by the Incarceration Nations Network to meet the Global Freedom Fellows of 2024 and hear their stories as inspiration for a mural.

The result is this mural showing someone being pulled out of the ground by a helping hand. The roots are meant to represent a difficult situation or habits that the person may feel stuck in. The word ‘We Are Hope’ are a reminder that our actions and thoughts create and shape our lives.

Thank you @incarcerationnations for the opportunity, all the fellows for sharing their truths with me and @philippivillage for facilitating the process and providing the wall!
